New Canaan Country School Centennial Website

In the same year, New Canaan Country School celebrated its 100th anniversary and welcomed its fifth Head of School. Wanting to both reflect on the past and look ahead to the future, NCCS saw this year as an opportunity to create a fresh look for campus signage, its alumni magazine, and other communications.

To anchor this celebration, Good Design created a mini-website called 100.countryschool.net. This responsive site centralized and gave prominence to all anniversary-themed messages and events. It also allowed alumni, faculty, and families from any era to easily submit their memories—complete with photos and video—to share. NCCS web editors appreciate how easy it is to moderate this site. Programming automatically categorizes and displays stories in a gallery format, so editors need only review submissions as necessary for content.

Good Design also created a centennial graphic identity that is used on this site, on campus signage, school logo-wear, and in other communication vehicles. Thus the celebration had a cohesive look, online and on campus.
